Why we chose Kentico as our CMS of choice

Kentico

We provide Content Management tools to our clients web sites and over the years, have seen, test-drove, and worked with just about every one of them. In the past year and half, we’ve settled in on what we think is the CMS platform for us and the majority of our customers to great review. It’s called Kentico CMS.

The Story

As a highly technical web development studio with a great deal of experience developing web sites using the ASP.NET platform, Kentico's developer-centric focus was an immediate draw. Kentico allows us to easily build full-featured, CMS-based sites while leveraging our own existing design and development strengths (ASP.NET, C#, HTML/CSS, jQuery, etc.) to extend them.

The development process is quite straightforward for us, since Kentico's full-featured CMS brings us a near-complete set of important CMS functionality out of the box, allowing our developers to focus on rich, complex, valuable feature add-ons such as interactive maps and enhanced calendar/event registration functionality. "Cut and coded" .NET web site templates are easily worked into the Kentico CMS platform using familiar .NET master pages, ASPX/ASCX files, and CSS/script files, giving development teams quick turn-around time for basic CMS functionality; this, in turn, allows content population to continue while more advanced features are developed and integrated.

Kentico as a company has proven they have a passion for quality -- reference their "you find a bug, we plant a tree" initiative. Their support has been very good, when we need them (which really isn't that often). And for us, the price point just could not be beat. Kentico's rich feature set matches that of many other CMS products that are twice as expensive, or more.

Amplify is Certified Kentico Partner and can work with you to review the Kentico solution to see if it is a good fit for your web site content management needs. Stay tuned as we release a joint case study we recently completed with the good folks at Kentico.
